Birchtree Charter - $25M

At Birchtree Charter, they offer a comprehensive Waldorf curriculum that integrates academics with the arts, movement, and practical skills. The curriculum is designed to meet the developmental needs of each grade level, focusing on experiential learning that engages the whole child. Students learn through storytelling, music, movement, and hands-on activities, with the belief that this approach fosters a lifelong love of learning.

The new facility will accommodate a growth of 120 students, future proofing the school and allowing an additional group of committed parents to choose Birchtree for their child's education.

Academy Charter - $16M

Academy K12 Public Charter School has demonstrated, year after year, to be one of the top performing schools in the state and nation. According to the Harvard Study, Academy was ranked #1 nationwide for Academic performance. Using methodologies such as the Writing Road to Reading Spalding International and Core Knowledge curriculums, this parent-sought, award winning educational model produces some of best and brightest minds in our state. As the oldest charter school in the MatSu Borough, Academy Charter has paved the way for the proliferation of Charter Schools by proving just how amazing the results can be.

Academy is seeking to expand their facility to a full High School. This will also allow them to expand their enrollment by 180 students, adjacent to the K-8 facility in which they currently operate.

American Charter - $15M

American Charter Academy (AMC) offers a standards-based education model along with a project-based core knowledge framework. In addition to a standards-based curriculum, AMC has a blended learning program. All students participate in teacher-led instruction and discussions as well as computer-based learning. Using a blend of delivery methods (computer, teacher, hands-on projects) students are able to build on their strengths and work through their weaknesses. Also, with multi-age classrooms, teachers stay with a student for many years, learning their style and the best way to help them learn and grow.

American Charter already has the plans complete for their new school which will accommodate growth as well as future-proofing the school for later expansion if necessary!
